Nothing awakens the senses like the delicious smell of coffee first thing in the morning! That is the delicious impression that surrounds you as you use this scrub to exfoliate and moisturize your face as it awakens you with it's brisk scent (not unlike a snickerdoodle cookie!) 
 
The caffeine in the organic coffee helps reduce redness while the cinnamon works to plump the skin cells. And the sugar removes dead skin cells. (The cinnamon draws blood cells to the surface of the skin which could cause some redness, which, while it shouldn't last long, a patch test is recommended.)
