Massage is a wonderful way to calm a restless baby. The warmth of it's parent's touch is comforting and the physical act of massaging helps soothe any discomfort baby might be feeling. Massage has even been shown to reduce the effects of colic.

A soothing blend of Lavender and Geranium essential oils in a base of sweet almond oil make a very effective massage oil for infants. Safe for daily use. Simply warm a small amount of oil in your hands, preferably after baby's bath, and begin the bonding session! Baby will love it and you will enjoy the time spent with your little one.

Personal story: My one year old kept waking up at odd times during the night, usually between 2 and 3 a.m. I started noticing a pattern. He didn't seem hungry but I'd give him a little milk in a bottle and just rock him until he pointed to his crib, indicating that he was ready to return there. I started getting the idea that he wasn't waking up because he needed to or even wanted to, but rather because it was the only time he got any one on one time with me in a house with four other children. So I decided to massage his legs with this oil every night before bed, giving him kisses and chatting with him all the while. He's slept straight through ever since. He even perches on his changing table at night and pulls his pajama pant legs up, waiting for me! I can't promise that these results will be the same for everyone; every person is different. But I do believe that the relaxing massage, accompanied by extra attention from mama, are doing the trick to keep my little man sleping.
