So, someone once said "Stretch marks are like a map that tells the story of where you've been." A beautiful sentiment, right? Sure. For the rest of us who would rather not have an unsightly map on their body, there is this lovely, whipped belly butter. Light in body and golden colored, this lovely butter goes on silky smooth and absorbs quickly into the skin. It doesn't take much, a little goes a looong way! And it smells simply heavenly as you massage it onto your blossoming body.

-Originally I made this butter with pregnant bellies in mind, especially my own. But I have since run into women who have purchased it with the hopes that it would help with their scars, or stretch marks, on other parts of their bodies; marks caused by such things as weight loss, or gain, or even blisters they were hoping to soften. I have not heard back from these ladies but I can't imagine this butter couldn't help them with their various skin needs.

I have also heard from ladies who have successfully used this silky butter on eczema patches. The moisture rich ingredients in this butter make it multifunctional!-

Personal Story: I recently gave birth to my sixth child with wonderful results. This is as close to a perfect stretch mark cream as I've found yet, even trumping my former favorite homemade belly oil. Now, to be completely honest, I've never really had stretch marks. My belly seems to more sag than anything after delivery but there usually aren't any unsightly marks on the sagging skin. Just the unsightly sagging skin, which is bad enough! Though I do tend to get white streaks on my thighs and backside. (You needed to know that, right?) I can now relate that I did not get those white marks this time! My most common complaint during pregnancy...alright I have alot of complaints during pregnancy so let's say my most common skin complaint during pregnancy is an itchy belly. And itchy breasts. Let's face it, scratching in public just isn't lady like, even in today's modern world. So far, this butter has beaten the itch for me which is why I decided I had to share it with other women who might be in the same itchy boat. And if it helps with unsightly "road maps" on your body, even better!

  • So this is where I tell you to keep it out of direct light and away from heat or it might melt but that's all common sense stuff. I'm also supposed to add that using a clean utensil to scoop the butter from the container will preserver the freshness of the product longer but who does that, really? I use my clean figners in the jar and it's been fine. So, use your own discretion. This butter should have a shelf life of a couple years if kept away from heat and light but I use mine up monthly. It's too good to leave sitting around! Should the butter seem melted or too soft, try putting it in the fridge for a while to harden it, or store it in there for an added cooling sensation that is pretty delicious on stretching bellies!
